Respondents Prayer : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ of habeas corpus calling for the entire records connected with the detention order of the 3rd respondent in Memo No.09/Black Marketing Act/2016 dated 23.04.2016 and quash the same as illegal and direct the respondents to produce the body and person of the son of the petitioner, namely, Venkatesh, son of Narayanan aged about 30 years detained in Central Prison, Puzhal, Chennai, before this Court and set him at liberty forthwith.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by S.NAGAMUTHU, J.) The petitioner is the father of the detenu namely, Venkatesh, aged about 30 years. The detenu has been branded as a "Black Marketer" under Sub section 3(2) (b) read with 3(1) of the Prevention of Black Marketing and Maintenance of Supplies of Essential Commodities Act, 1980 and detained under the order of the 3rd respondent passed in Memo No.9/Black Marketing Act/2016 dated 23.04.2016.

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the order of detention passed by the 3rd respondent as against the son of the petitioner dated 23.04.2016 has been revoked by the Government in G.O. [Rt] No.280, Co-operation, Food and Consumer Protection (E1) Department dated 28.07.2016 and he has also produced a copy of the said order.

3. Recording the submission of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this petition is closed as the same has become infructuous.
