O R D E R

The Civil Revision Petition is filed challenging the order passed by the Metropolitan Magistrate, Additional Mahila Court, Egmore, Chennai in Crl.M.P.No.132 of 2024 in D.V.C.No.66 of 2023, dated 12.12.2024 directing the petitioner/husband to pay a sum of Rs.15,000/- per month as interim monthly maintenance to the respondent/wife. 1/4

2. Against the impugned order passed by the Trial Court, an appeal shall lie before the Sessions Court under Section 29 of the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005. Therefore, this Court is not inclined to entertain this revision.

3. Accordingly, the Civil Revision Petition is dismissed with liberty to the petitioner to file an appeal before the jurisdictional Sessions Court. It is made clear that the petitioner is entitled to exclude the time taken by him for prosecuting the revision before this Court (i.e., from 27.06.2025 to the date of receipt of copy of this order), while calculating the limitation for filing the appeal before the Sessions Court. No costs. Consequently, the connected civil miscellaneous petition is closed.
