The Writ Petition has been filed seeking for issuance of Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondent-Police to complete the inquiry 1/4
pending in C.S.R.No.503 of 2025 within a time frame that may be fixed by this Court.
2. Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent-Police, on instructions, submitted that on completion of preliminary enquiry, the respondent-Police registered the petitioner's complaint as Crime No.279 of 2025 for the offences punishable under Sections 296(b), 115(2), 118(1), 329 and 351(2) of the BNS, 2023 and hence nothing survives for adjudication in the writ petition.
