ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioners, who were apprehend arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offence under Section 419, 465, 467, 468, 471, 120B, 420 and 511 of IPC in Crime No.422 of 2021 on the file of the respondent police, seek bail. 2.The case of the prosecution is that the petitioners and others tried to encash a tampered cheque for Rs.9,99,91,000/- On the basis of the complaint given by the Bank Manager, the respondent police has registered a case against the petitioners.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submits that the petitioners are innocent persons and they have not committed any such offence as alleged by the prosecution and they have been falsely implicated in this case. Hence, he prays to grant bail to the petitioners.

4.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) on instructions submits that there are 10 accused persons involved in this case and they have been fabricated a cheque for the amount to the tune of Rs.9,99,91,000/- as if it was issued by M/s.Dilip Buildcon and Co in favour of one Ramcharan and Co and presented the same in Punjab Nationa Bank, Purasaiwalkam Branch on 22.09.2021. He further submits that still the investigation is pending. Hence, he vehemently opposed to grant bail to the petitioner.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also considering the submissions made by both counsel and also the fact that the investigation is still pending and the gravity of the offence and huge amount involved in this case, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioners.
