The instant writ petition has been filed with a prayer for issuing a Mandamus, to direct the respondents to pass orders for dropping of charges issued against the petitioner as per the Proceedings of 2nd respondent dated 19.03.2024 based on the enquiry concluded in the month of September 2024 and consequently directing the respondents to include the name of the petitioner in 2025-2026 panel for promotion to the post of District Educational Officer.
2. Heard the learned counsel for both sides and perused the materials available on record.

3. The learned Senior Counsel for the petitioner would submit that, without any basis, a charge memorandum dated 19.03.2024 has been issued to him, and that the petitioner has submitted an explanation and participated in the domestic enquiry.

It is the further submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner that the Enquiry Officer has submitted his report, and the petitioner has also submitted a further representation on 05.02.2025. In spite of submitting the further representation on 05.02.2025, the respondents have not passed a final order so far. It is the further submission of the learned senior counsel that the petitioner is due for promotion.
5. At this juncture, the learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents would submit that they would be passed a final order in the disciplinary proceedings within a reasonable time.
6. In view of the above submissions, the second respondent is directed to pass a final order in the disciplinary proceedings initiated against the petitioner, vide charge memo dated 19.03.2024, within a period of four 3/5
weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
