ORDER

The writ petition has been filed forbearing the respondents from interfering in any manner with the day-to-day affairs and recreational activities of the petitioner club and its members at petitioner's premises not involving any element of gambling situated at the premises bearing NO.841A, Sampoornam Avenue, Vadapalani, Chennai - 600026

2. In the counter, it is stated by the fifth respondent that the respondent has not closed the petitioner's sports club. 3.Heard both sides and perused the materials placed on record.

4. At the outset, this Court is of the view that as long as the petitioner is involving in lawful business, the police cannot interfere, however, if the police finds that there is any offence committed under the pretext of Sports

Club, it cannot be said that they have no right. Such view of the matter, as the respondents themselves have admitted in their counter that they have not closed the petitioner's club, it is well open to the petitioner to open the club for the lawful purposes.

5. Accordingly, this writ petition stands dismissed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition stands closed. 01.09.2025 dhk Index :Yes/No Internet:Yes/No To
