The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 27.05.2024 for the alleged offence punishable under Sections 284, 328 of IPC and 24(1) of COTPA Act, 2003, in Crime No.251 of 2024, on the file of the respondent Police, seeks bail.
2. Learned Counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent person has been falsely implicated in this case, as if the petitioner along with other accused was found in illegal possession of 633 kgs of banned tobacco products. He further submitted that the coaccused have been released on bail. He further submitted that the petitioner is in custody from 27.05.2024, and he is ready to abide by any conditions that may be imposed by this Court. Hence, he prays for grant of bail to the petitioner.

drl products in order to sell the same to public at large in order to make an unlawful gain through illegal means and the entire contraband was seized from the accused persons. He further submitted that the investigation is still pending. However, he vehemently opposed for the grant of bail to the petitioner.
4. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) and perused the materials available on record.
5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, and also considering the grave nature of offence and also considering the contraband seized is an huge quantity, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
