Respondents Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to pay the Solatium of Rs.4 00 000/- as from the Disaster Relief Fund at par with other victims of the recent flood as compensation for the untimely demise of the petitioner's daughter namely S.Mythili aged about 11 years and for the expenses incurred for performing her funeral ceremonies based on the petitioner's representation dated 19.11.2015 and 30.11.2015.

ORDER

The petitioner has sought for payment of solatium from the Disaster Relief Fund and the representation of the petitioner made to Chief Minister's Special Cell was sent to 2nd respondent, who in turn vide Na.Ka.No.C3/00015/2015, dated 30.11.2015 directed the 3rd respondent to take appropriate action. As no appropriate action is forthcoming, the present writ petition has been filed.

Considering the above and taking note of the representation of the petitioner dated 30.11.2015 which is pending consideration under the 3rd respondent, a direction is issued to the 3rd respondent to consider the same and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly.
