ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for direction to the first respondent to issue passport to the petitioner by considering his application dated 29.06.2022.

The petitioner so far involved in two criminal cases, that too under NDPS Act in crime No.716 of 2021 on the file of the Tirupapuliyur Police Station, Cuddalore and in crime No.637 of 2021 on the file of the Tirupapuliyur Police Station, Cuddalore. Both the cases were registered under NDPS Act. The petitioner conveniently suppressed his involvement in both the cases and submitted application for issuance of passport. Therefore, the prayer sought for in this writ petition cannot be considered. However, the petitioner is at liberty to apply afresh for issuance of passport after conclusion of the criminal cases. 2/4

Accordingly, this writ petition is dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs.
