ORDER

By consent of learned counsel on both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. In view of the order that this Court proposes to pass and also the limited relief that is sought to be granted, notice to the fifth respondent is dispensed with.

The present writ petition is filed praying for a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the fourth respondent to consider the Representation dated 28.03.2025 in accordance with law and to cancel Patta No.100, for the property comprised in Punsai S.No.81/1 and S.No.81/3 measuring an extent of 84 cents and 70 cents in all measuring an extent of acre 1.54 cents, situated at Kazhanipakkam Village, Thirukazhukundram SRO, Thiruporur Taluk, Chengalpattu District.

After submitting for a brief while, the learned counsel for the petitioners would submit that there is a Settlement Deed which ought to be cancelled and therefore, seeks liberty of this Court to approach the competent civil Court as well as to avail any other remedy that may be available to them before statutory authorities.

4. Mr.P.Sathish, learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents 1 to 4 would submit that the petitioners have to approach the competent civil Court for the appropriate relief.

5. In view thereof, this Writ Petition stands disposed of, giving liberty to the 3/5

petitioners to workout their remedy in the manner known to law. All rights and contentions are left open. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any views with regard to the merits of the case and it is open to the concerned authority to consider the matter on its own merits and in accordance with law.
