Writ Petitions are filed u/a.226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondents 2 & 3 to register the name of the petitioner for M.D.Microbiology and for M.D.Community Medicine respectively. JUDGMENT
(Judgment of the Court was made by HULUVADI G. RAMESH,J.) Heard Mr.V.P.Raman, learned counsel for the appellant and Mr.G.Sankaran, learned counsel appearing for respondents 3 and 4.
2. Since the issue involved in all the above Writ Petitions are one and the same, they are taken up together and disposed of by a common order.
3. These Writ Appeals are filed against the order of the learned Single Judge dated 04.01.2016, wherein, respondents 2 and 3 therein viz., Medical Council of India and Tamil Nadu Medical council were directed to register the name of the writ petitioners/1st respondent(s) in all the above Writ Appeals in the respective courses being M.D.Forensic Medicine, M.D.Community Medicine and M.D.Microbiology.
4. The grounds taken by the appellant in the Writ Appeal is that the matter regarding recognition to PG courses is pending before the Ethics Committee of the appellant and also found that there are certain deficiencies. However, today when the matter is called, the learned counsel appearing for the appellant/Medical Council of India, submitted that on the basis of the report submitted by the 4th respondent/Mahatma Gandhi Medical College and Research Institute, the registration of the P.G.degree courses mentioned in the Writ Petitions, have been recommended for extension of affiliation.
5. Recording the above submission, the Writ Appeals are disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected CMPs are closed.
