ORDER

This writ petition is filed by the President of Madhur Village Panchayat, challenging the order of the District Collector, Kancheepuram, in and by which the cheque signing power of the President was taken away and given to the Block Development Officer, Uthiramerur Panchayat Union. 2.Heard both and perused the records.

3.It is submitted that based on the representation given by the Vice- President of Madhur Village Panchayat, the District Collector, Kancheepuram has passed orders against the President by taking away the cheque signing power. It is further submitted that the term of office of the President and the Vice-President got expired and hence, the prayer sought for in this writ petition has become infructuous.

4.In the light of the above facts and the submissions of the learned counsels, this writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs.
