ORDER

The relief sought for the present writ petition is to direct the respondents to make the reference under section 20 of the Tamil Nadu State High Ways Act in respect of lands in S.Nos.219/15B in Sevilimedu Village Accounts, Kanchipuram Taluk and District, covered under Award No.106/2021 S.H.No.58(1) Dt.16.08.2021 in proceedings No.Na.Ka.No.781/A2/ 2019(34) to a competent Civil Court / District Court Kanchipuram.

2. The learned Government Advocate appearing on behalf of the respondents based on the written instructions given by the Special District Revenue Officer in letter dated 04.08.2023 states that the reference has already been made in respect of acquisition proceedings, pertaining to the land belonged to the petitioner, under the provisions of the Land Acquisition Act and the matter is now pending before the Land Acquisition Court at Chengalpet.

3 . Thus, the petitioner is at liberty to pursue the case in the manner known to law.

4. With this clarification, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
