Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a writ of Mandamus to consider the representation dated 20.10.2022 to the first respondent to remove the fifth respondent soup stall running in the name of Hallelujah Soup Stall and other stalls by encroaching the National Highway Land in the project stretch of Tirupathi Tiruttani Chennai Section of NH205 for the welfare of the public.

ORDER

(Made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) Heard Mr.Christopher Kishore Vincent, learned counsel for the petitioner, Ms.S.R.Sumathy, learned counsel for the first respondent and Mr.P.Muthukumar, learned State Government Pleader for the respondents 2 to 4.

2. Learned counsel for the first respondent submits that notices have been issued to all the encroachers, including the fifth respondent, on the concerned Highway and steps are undertaken for removal of the encroachment expeditiously.

3. In view of the said statement, the writ petition is disposed of. There will be no order as to costs. Consequently, W.M.P.No.25851 of 2023 is closed.
