ORDER

This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent police not to harass the petitioners in respect of the civil case in O.S.No.17 of 2016 on the file of the District Munsif Court, Namakkal.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State.

3. On a complaint given by one Jayalakshmi, petition enquiry is pending. Under such circumstances, blanket order of 'not to harass' cannot be passed. The petitioners shall co-operate in the enquiry and during the course of enquiry, they shall not be harassed. However, if any cognizable offence is made out, this order would not be a shield against the arrest of the accused.

With the above observation, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
