ORDER

This petition is filed to file a final report on the complaint registered in Crime No.152 of 2024, dated 28.02.2024. It is the case of hit and run, which has caused death of one Raghupathy. Contending that CCTV footage not been collected for investigation, the present petition is filed. Proper investigation to be done and final report to be filed regarding hit and run the vehicle and person, who has driven it.

2. Status report filed by the Inspector of Police, Sunguvarchatram, wherein he has stated that the CCTV footage on the occurrence day was collected relating to the offending vehicle. It is further stated that investigation is done in a free and fair manner and effective steps were taken to secure the accused.

3. In view of the reasoning stated by the Investigating Officer, this Court is of the view that this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent police to intensify the investigation and file a final report preferably within a period of a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 2/4
