By consent of both sides, these Writ Petitions are disposed of at the stage of admission itself.

2. These Writ Petitions have been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent herein to forthwith receive the petitioners application dated 24.07.2024 for grant of spare minibus permit.

The case of the petitioners is that they are existing stage carriage operator having a mini bus bearing Registration No.TN68-B-9596 plying in the route Hosur Bus stand to Jai BeemNagar via Sunnambu G.B.Dharga, Arasanatti etc and Registration No.TN70-B-4803 plying in the route Hosur Bus Stand to TVS Suzuki Factory via Traffic police station ASTC Depot, Old HUDCO etc respectively. Both the petitioners have paid the fees for Rs.1,500/- dated 24.07.2024 along with the application enclosing all the documents for grant of spare bus permit and the respondent refused to receive the same. Hence, the present writ petition.

4. The learned Special Government Pleader would submit that there is absolutely no proof to show that the petitioners have not made any 2/5

application seeking for spare bus permit. It is further submitted that there is a provision available for eligible applicant in Vahan-4 software contactless services domain to apply for spare bus permit and remit the respective fees to the application. On verification in Vahan-4 software contactless services domain the petitioners have not applied for the spare bus permit and contacted the office.

5. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Special Government Pleader for the respondent and perused the materials available on record.

In view of the above, the petitioners are directed to apply their application in Vahan-4 software contactless services domain for mini bus permit and the respondent is directed to consider the same within a period four weeks from the date of application in Vahan-4. As it is seen that the petitioners have paid a sum of Rs.1,500/- each in the E-Fee Receipt dated 24.07.2024 towards spare bus permit fees, the same challan may be considered by the respondent.

In the result, both the writ petitions are disposed of, with a direction to the petitioners to submit their applications through Vahan-4 software contactless services domain, the respondent shall consider the same within a period of four weeks from the date of such application by the petitioners, on its own merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders. No costs.
