PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent herein to 1/5

dispose the petitioner representation dated 29.06.2022 seeking a sum of Rs.7,65,638/- due from the third and fourth respondent jointly in relation to the products sold to the fourth respondent panchayat for the purpose of work undertaken by them.

O R D E R

The petitioner herein seeks direction to respondents to consider his representation dated 26.09.2022, seeking payment of Rs.7,65,638/- ( Rupees Seven lakhs sixty five thousand six hundred and thirty eight only) towards the products supplied by the petitioner to the 4th respondent Panchayat.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that he supplied certain electrical items to the 4th respondent Panchayat and in this regard, a sum of Rs.7,65,638/- is due from the 4th respondent. Earlier, the cheque issued by the 4th respondent 2/5

got dishonoured. The petitioner submitted a representation on 26.09.2022 to the 1st respondent seeking his intervention for payment of the amount due to the petitioner from 4th respondent and the 1st respondent in turn forwarded the same to the 2nd respondent and the same is pending before the 2nd respondent. The said representation has not been considered till date.

3. Mrs. S.Anitha, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for 1st and 2nd respondents. Mr.L.S.M. Hasan Fizal, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents 3 and 4.

In view of the limited prayer made by the petitioner, without expressing any opinion on the claim made by the petitioner, this Court is inclined to issue a direction to 2nd respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 26.09.2022 and pass final orders on merits and in accordance with the law, within a period of 3 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
