By consent, the main writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

Heard Mr.N.Umapathi, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.K.Ravikumar, learned Additional Government Pleader, who takes notice on behalf of the respondent. 3.The prayer in the writ petition is to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 31.07.2019 for grant of licence to run the business of cross massage at Door No.3/517, 2nd street, V.K.V.Nagar, NGGO Colony Post, Coimbatore North within the stipulated time as that may be fixed by this Court.

4. The grievance of the petitioner is that his https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

representation to the respondent-Block Development Officer Goundapalayam Municipality, Coimbatore for granting permission to run Ayurvedic Centre has not been considered. Hence, he seeks for Mandamus to direct the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 31.07.2019.

5. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent would submit that the respondent-Block Development Officer is not the competent authority to consider the request of the petitioner.

6. The respondent is shown as Block Development officer, Goundapalayam Municipality to whom the petitioner alleged to have made the representation to consider his request for granting permission to run Ayurvedic Centre. Neither the Block Development Officer is the competent authority nor there is any municipality in name Goundapalayam Municipality. Hence, this writ petition is dismissed. No costs.
