By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
The writ petition is filed seeking a mandamus to direct the 2nd respondent to apportion 5% of the sanctioned intake of UG/PG programmes at the MIT Campus allotted by the Anna University to the family of the founder of MIT between the petitioner and the 4th respondent.
Learned Counsel for the petitioner would submit that the fourth respondent is misusing founder's quota seat without following any guidelines. She further invites the attention of this Court about the other legal heirs of Mr.C.Rajam, who is the founder of MIT. Learned Counsel would further submit that the petitioner has already given a representation to the second respondent on 05.05.2025 and the same is pending. 4.
At this juncture, the learned Standing Counsel for the second respondent would submit that the petitioner's representation will be considered within a reasonable time.

Heard the learned Counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.

It is pertinent to mention that the issue involved in the present writ petition requires consideration of various disputed facts, which cannot be adjudicated in the writ jurisdiction. However, since the petitioner has already given a representation, without going into the merits of the matter, this Court deems it appropriate to direct the second respondent to consider
the petitioner's representation dated 05.05.2025 and pass orders on it's own merits and in accordance with law, after giving opportunity of hearing to the fourth respondent, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
In the result, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. 04.07.2025 veda Index:Yes/No Speaking order To 1.
