ORDER

The petitioner apprehends arrest for the alleged offence under Sections 318(4) and 316(2) of BNS, 2023 in Crime No.5 of 2026 on the file of the respondent police seeks anticipatory bail.

2. This is a case of a job-racket involving 24 victims, wherein the alleged cheated amount is Rs.64,84,990/-(approx.).

3.As rightly contended by the learned Government Advocate(crl.side) appearing , unless the petitioner is taken into custody, the trail of the money cannot be effectively traced.

4. In view of the submissions made, this Court is of the firm opinion that it is not desirable to enlarge the petitioner on anticipatory bail.

5. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the present complaint has been lodged only to wreak vengeance against the petitioner. However, a perusal of the FIR discloses specific overt acts attributed to the petitioner.

6.Hence, the present Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed. 25.06.2026 jrs 2/4
