Respondents PRAYER: This Writ petition came to be numbered under Article 226 of the Constitution of India by way of transfer of O.A.No.2327 of 2004 from the file of the Tamil Nadu Administrative Tribunal praying for a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to promote the petitioner to the post of Junior Assistant/ Bill Collector in the Town Panchayat Services by transfer of services as per G.O.Ms. No. 150 Municipal Administration and Water Supply Department dated 19.08.1998 by considering the petitioner's representation dated 17.12.2003 and pass further orders.

Court as Writ Petition No. 16522/2007, seeking for promotion by transfer of services to the post of Bill Collector/ Junior Assistant.

2. Mr. G. Sankaran, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner fairly submitted that the petition filed for seeking promotion, has become infructuous as he has been given the same.

3. Recording his statement, the Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. However, liberty is given to the petitioner to work out his remedy towards getting the service benefits, if he is otherwise eligible. No order as to costs.
