PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India praying to issue Writ of mandamus to direct the respondent herein to consider, dispose of and pass orders forthwith in the petitioner's application dated 26.03.2012 for the grant of Inter-State Permit to ply on the route Yanam to Rajamundry - two permits and Yanam to Sakinetipalli - 1 permit. ORDER

Heard Mr.T.Padmanabhan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. S.Diwkar, learned Special Government Pleader, who accepts notice for the respondent, and with their consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for disposal.

2. The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking to dispose of their application dated 26.03.2012 for grant of Inter-State Permit to ply on the route Yanam to Rajamundry - two permits and Yanam to Sakinetipalli - 1 permit.

3. The petitioner would state that there is no legal impediment in considering the application for Inter-State Permit. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4. Learned Special Government Pleader for the respondent submitted that a reasonable time may be granted to the respondent to consider the petitioner's application, if otherwise in order.

5. In the light of the above, the writ petition is disposed of by directing the respondent to consider the petitioner's application dated 26.03.2012 on merits and in accordance with law and pass orders within a period of 8 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
