The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 147, 148, 341, 294(b), 427, 324, 307, 302 of IPC in Crime No.188 of 2022 on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner's relative has taken auction lease in Virali Lake in Ranipet District for rearing and selling fishes, in which, the defacto complainant and his friends have illegally catched and sold the fishes from the auctioned lake, resulting which, a quarrel arose between them and ended in a scuffle. In continuation of the same, the petitioner and her family members attacked the defacto complainant and his friends with deadly weapons, thereby the defacto complainant and his friends were sustained grievous injuries and one among them was succumbed to injuries. Hence, the complaint. 1/4

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is an innocent person and she has not committed any such offence as alleged by the prosecution. He would further submit that it is a case and case in counter and there is no specific overt act against the petitioner. Hence, he prays to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

The learned Government Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the accused persons including petitioner herein attacked the defacto complainant and his friends and caused grievous injuries and they were immediately hospitalized and one among them was succumbed to injuries. He would further that the petitioner is having specific overt act like other accused persons, she attacked the deceased with wooden log and sustained grievous injuries and also assaulted the other accused and caused injuries. Hence, he vehemently opposed to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5. Taking into consideration the facts and submissions of the learned Counsel and there is a specific overt act against the petitioner, 2/4

the custodial interrogation of the petitioner is very much required in this case. Hence, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
