ORDER
The writ petition is filed for the issuance of a writ of mandamus, directing the Senior Divisional Manager, United India Insurance Corporation Limited, Divisional Office, the first respondent herein to process the claim for reimbursement of Medical Expenses made by the petitioner in respect of his wife for having taken treatment for Covid-19 in the hospital, as per the scheme and the orders issued by the Government of Tamil Nadu in this regard, immediately.
2. The petitioner is a member of New Health Insurance Scheme 2014. The petitioner's wife one Leelavathi said to have taken treatment for covid-19 by getting admission as an inpatient at Kavuvery hospital, Salem. The grievance of the petitioner is that his medical reimbursement has not been so far considered. Hence, he has filed the present writ petition.
3. Learned counsel for the respondent submitted that the petitioner has not submitted the original medical documents in order to substantiate his claim 2/5
for reimbursement.
4. In such case, it is up to the petitioner to submit all the necessary papers and give a fresh representation to the respondent and on receipt of the same, the respondent shall consider the same and pass appropriate orders, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With the above directions, the writ petition stands disposed of. There will be no order as to costs.
