ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed by the petitioners seeking for a direction to the 4th respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 12.07.2016.

2. It is stated by the petitioners that they are the owners of the property measuring to an extent of 16.5 cents (out of 33 cents) in Survey No.197/7, situated at No.57, Irungattukottai Village & Post, Sriperumbudur Taluk, Kancheepuram District and the patta in respect of the said land is standing in the name of the petitioners' father Sanniyasi. petitioners' father, the petitioners approached to the respondents for change of patta in their name. In this regard, the petitioner made representation dated 12.07.2016 to the respondents seeking to issue patta in respect of the said land in their favour. Since the petitioners' representation was not considered by the respondents, the petitioners have come forward with the present writ petition.

3.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners as well as learned Government Advocate for the respondents and perused the materials available on record.

4.Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for the petitioners in the present writ petition, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the claim made by the petitioners, this Court directs the 4th respondent to consider the representation dated 12.07.2016 given by the petitioners and to pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
