Respondents Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a writ of Habeas Corpus calling for the entire records connection with the detention order in BCDFGISSSV No.290/2021 dated 05.10.2021 passed by the 2nd respondent on the petitioner's husband by name Prasanth, S/o.Ruban, aged about 26 years, residing at No.6/240, 24th Street, MGR Nagar, Kovilambakkam, Chennai - 600 129, Police Station Limit, The Inspector of Police (L & O), Madipakkam Police Station, S-7, Chennai, has been detained and branded as GOONDA under the Tamil Nadu Prevention of Dangerous Activities of Bootleggers, Cyber Law Offenders, Sand Offenders, Sexual Offenders, Slum Grabbers and Video Pirates Act and confined at the Central Prison, Chennai, to set aside the same and to produce him before this Court and set him at liberty forthwith.

ORDER

[Made by P.N.PRAKASH, J.] The petitioner challenges the impugned order of detention in BCDFGISSSV No.290/2021 dated 05.10.2021 detaining her husband as "Goonda", as contemplated under Section 2(f) of the Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982.

The learned Additional Public Prosecutor reports that the order of detention passed against the detenu has been revoked by the Government by its order in G.O.Rt.No.5777, Home, Prohibition and Excise (X) Department, dated 26.11.2021 and he has also produced a copy of the Government Order. Recording the same, this Habeas Corpus Petition stands closed.
