Respondents PRAYER:

Writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent herein to receive the petitioner's application under Clause 27(4) of Tamil Nadu Electricity Distribution Code to give new electricity service connection in petitioner's name with regard to the house bearing Door No.40 & 41, New No.66 & 66A, Ramasamy Garden, Adayar, Chennai-600 020.

For Petitioner : No Appearance For Respondent-1 : Mr.P.R.Dhilip Kumar For Respondent-2 : Mr.Sri Ram for M/s.A.S.Kailasam and Associates.

O R D E R

The relief sought for in this writ petition is for a direction to direct the first respondent to receive the application submitted by the writ petitioner under Clause 27 (4) https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

of the Tamil Nadu Electricity Distribution Code and to provide new Electricity Service Connection in petitioner's name with regard to the house bearing Door No.40 & 41, New No.66 & 66A, Ramasamy Garden Adayar, Chennai-600 020.

2. This Court passed an interim order on 2.7.2013, directing the first respondent to give electricity supply to the aforesaid address of the writ petitioner, within a period of two weeks. In compliance, the electricity Service Connection had already been provided in favour of the writ petitioner. In view of the fact that the electricity Service Connection had already been provided to the writ petitioner, there is no necessity to adjudicate the grounds raised in this writ petition.

3. Accordingly, the writ petition stands closed. However, there shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is also closed.
