ORDER

The petitioner, who claims to be the wife of the deceased Government servant, Selvaraj, has filed this writ petition seeking a direction to the third respondent to send the revised family pension proposal to the fourth respondent, enabling the fourth respondent to authorise the same as per Government Letter No.22825/FR-2/2016-2 dated 02.02.2017, by considering her representation dated 13.09.2021 within a specific time frame. Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, Mr.R.Neethiperumal, learned Government Advocate, submitted that the petitioner's representation dated 13.09.2021 has been received and appropriate orders will be passed on the same shortly. In a riposte, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the required documents for the purpose of sanctioning family pension to the petitioner, have already been furnished and even thereafter, the petitioner's representation dated 13.09.2021 has not been considered by the respondents. 2/4

In view of the fact that the petitioner's representation dated 13.09.2021 has been pending for over two years, as a result of which, the petitioner is not able to to get her due entitlement of family pension after the demise of her husband, it is obligatory on the part of the third respondent to take action on the petitioner's representation dated 13.09.2021 sans any delay. In such perspective of the matter, the third respondent is directed to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 13.09.2021, as expeditiously as possible.

With the above direction, this writ petition stands disposed of sans costs.
