ORDER

Heard Mr.A.Ganesan, learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.K.J.Sivakumar, learned Government Advocate, who accepts notice for the respondent and with their consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for disposal.

2. The petitioner has filed this writ petition praying for issuance of Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondent to receive the application Form CCPA, dated 05.08.2016, with prescribed fees and grant the Maxi Cab Permit in respect of the Vehicle bearing Registration No.TN-76-X-3834 forthwith.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that there is a need for more Maxi Cab on account of the fact that several existing permit holders have stopped their operations and surrendered their Permits.

4. In any event, as the petitioner's Application has not been received by the respondent, without going into the merits of the case as projected by the petitioner, there will be a direction to the respondent to receive the petitioner's Application, consider the same and pass order on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

on which the Application is presented, along with a copy of this order. With these directions, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
