Prayer: The writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records and quash the rejection order dated 15.11.2008 passed by the Enquiry Officer the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Ponneri Sub-Division 2nd respondent herein consequently direct the respondent to allow the petitioner to have a legal practitioner as Defence Assistant to face the oral Enquiry in PR.No.82/2008 U/0.3 (b) passed by the Superintendent of Police, Thiruvallur District. ORDER

The relief sought for in this writ petition is to call for the records and quash the rejection order dated 15.11.2008 passed by the Enquiry Officer the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Ponneri Sub-Division 2nd respondent herein consequently direct the respondent to allow the petitioner to have a legal practitioner as Defence Assistant to face the oral Enquiry in PR.No.82/2008 U/0.3 (b) passed by the Superintendent of Police, Thiruvallur District.

2. When the matter was called on 26.07.2018 there was no representation for the petitioner and The learned Government Pleader informed that the writ petition has become infructuous, hence the matter was directed to be listed under the caption "for dismissal". Even today i.e on 01.08.2018 when the matter is https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

taken up for hearing, there is no representation for the petitioner hence the writ petition is dismissed for non prosecution. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. No costs.
