ORDER

Heard Mr.M.Ganeshmurthy, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.RAS.Senthilvel, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

2. The writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to consider the petitioners' applications pending from the year 2013 onwards for issue of new ration card and direct the respondents to issue new ration card to the petitioners within the stipulated time.

3. It appears that the petitioners are daily labourers and had applied for the Ration Cards before the respondents and since their applications are pending from the year 2013 without any response, the present writ petition has been filed.

4. Considering the limited prayer sought for by the petitioners, the respondents are directed to consider the applications submitted by the petitioners and pass necessary orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly.
