This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent police to expedite the investigation in Crime No.362 of 2014 on the file of the respondent police and file the final report within a stipulated time.

2. Heard Mr.T.Sundaravadanam, learned counsel for petitioner and Mr.A.Damodaran, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for respondent.

3. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor, on instructions, submitted that the case in Crime No.362 of 2014 on the file of respondent was closed as 'mistake of fact' and RCS notice was also served on the petitioner. Recording the submission of learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Criminal Original Petition is closed. If the petitioner is aggrieved by the closure report, it is left open to the petitioner to file an appropriate petition 2/4

before the concerned Court.
