Respondents Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a writ of Habeas Corpus calling for the records in connection with the 2nd respondent's detention order C.No.50/G/IS/Tiruppur City/2021 dated 29.10.2021 and quash the same and produce the petitioner's son viz., Vishwa, S/o.Ravi, aged about 19 years, now detained in the Central Prison, Coimbatore, under the Tamil Nadu Prevention of Dangerous Activities of Bootleggers, Cyber Law Offenders, Drug Offenders, Forest Offenders, Goondas, Immoral Traffic Offenders, Sand Offenders, Sexual Offenders, Slum Grabbers and Video Pirates Act, 1982, before this Court and set him at liberty.

ORDER

[Made by P.N.PRAKASH, J.] The petitioner challenges the impugned order of detention in Memo C.No.50/G/IS/Tiruppur City/2021 dated 29.10.2021 detaining his son as "Goonda", as contemplated under Section 2(f) of the Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982.

The learned Additional Public Prosecutor reports that the order of detention passed against the detenu has been revoked by the Government by its order in G.O.Rt.No.6516, Home, Prohibition and Excise (XII) Department, dated 31.12.2021 and he has also produced a copy of the Government Order. Recording the same, this Habeas Corpus Petition stands closed.
