PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct to process the Application Number 2021/0105/18/199228 dated 18.08.2021 to do sub division and issue separate patta in respect of the petitioner's property in Survey No.209/1, 209/2A which is situated at Arasankudi Village, Veppur Taluk, Cuddalore District, pursuant to the petitioner's representation dated 18.08.2021.

O R D E R

The Writ Petition has been filed for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to process the Application Number 2021/0105/18/199228 dated 18.08.2021 to do sub division and issue separate patta in respect of the petitioner's property in Survey Nos.209/1 and 209/2A, which is situated at Arasankudi Village, Veppur Taluk, Cuddalore District.

2. Heard, Mr.R.Thirumoorthy, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.A. Selvendran, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent.

3. The petitioner filed an application before the respondent to survey and sub divide the property comprised in Survey Nos.209/1 and 209/2A, situated at Arasankudi Village, Veppur Taluk, Cuddalore District. The petitioner also paid requisite fee to survey the land. Even then, the respondent did not take any steps to survey the land.

4. Considering the above, the respondent is directed to issue notice to the adjacent land owners and counter parties, if any and survey and sub divide the property comprised in Survey Nos.209/1 and 209/2A, situated at Arasankudi Village, Veppur Taluk, Cuddalore District, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
