Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents grant to the petitioner with an absolute patta for the said land at S.No.226/1 situated at Chittur Village, Edappadi Taluk, Salem District, based on the petitioner's representation dated 28.06.2024.

The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the respondents to grant patta in respect of land situated in S.No.226/1 at Chittur Village, Edappadi Taluk, Salem District, by considering her representation dated 28.06.2024. 2/5

2. According to the petitioner, she has been in possession and enjoyment of the above mentioned property for the past 50 years. She submitted a representation to the respondents seeking patta by recognizing her long possession and the same has not been considered. Therefore, the petitioner is before this Court.

3. Mr. A.Selvendran, learned Special Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondents 1, 2, 4 and 5 would submit that the representation of the petitioner dated 28.06.2024 will be considered on its own merits, within a time framed fixed by this Court.

In view of the same, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, this Court is inclined to issue a direction to the fourth respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 28.06.2024 and pass final orders, on its own merits, within a period of 8 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
