ORDER
This Criminal Original Petition has been filed by the petitioner/accused to quash the proceedings in S.T.C.No.1634 of 2023 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate-I, Salem.
2. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the first respondent police submitted that a case was registered against the petitioner and others in Crime No.125 of 2021 for the offence under Section 143 and 269 of IPC for causing nuisance to the public in a way that spread the Covid virus and subsequently, the charge sheet was filed and the same was taken on file in S.T.C.No.1634 of 2023 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate-I, Salem. Meanwhile, the Government itself withdrew the complaint by Government Order in G.O. (Ms) No.176, Home (Courts-IV) Department, dated 05.04.2022.
3. In view of the above G.O. passed by the Government, the case against the petitioner in S.T.C.No.1634 of 2023 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate-I, Salem, is quashed.
