ORDER
The petitioner prays for issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus or order or direction in the nature of a Writ calling for the records relating to rejection order of the respondent dated 30.08.2007 in G.O. (2D) No. 570, Home (Pol. V) Department quash the same and direct the respondent to reconsider the order or punishment of dismissal from service imposed in P.R. No.328/83 on the file of the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Armed Reserve, Chennai dated 03.07.1985.
2. When the matter is listed today, the learned counsel for the petitioner made a submission that the matter has become infructuous and he has also made an endorsement to the effect: "The petitioner died. This Writ petition becomes infructuous."

3. In view of the above statement and endorsement made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Writ Petition is dismissed as having become infructuous. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
