The Superintendent of Police District Police Office Thanjavur .. Respondent PRAYER: This Writ Petition came to be numbered under Article 226 of the Constitution of India by way of transfer of O.A. No.655 of 2003 from the file of Tamil Nadu Administrative Tribunal with a prayer to call for the records relating to the impugned order passed by the first respondent herein in his proceedings DO. 1443/2002 Rc. No.25287/ A2/2002 and quash the same in so far as rejecting the applicant's promotion is concerned and consequently direct the respondent to promote the applicant as Head Constable w.e.f. 22/07/2002 with all consequential service and monetary benefits and pass further orders.

O R D E R

This Writ Petition came on transfer from the learned Tamilnadu Administrative Tribunal seeking promotion for the petitioner as Head Constable with effect from 22/07/2002 with all consequential service and monetary benefits by quashing the impugned order dated 03.09.2002 in DO. 1443/2002 Rc. No.25287/ A2/2002.

2. When the matter was taken up, Mr. G. Bala, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner fairly agreeing with learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that the petitioner has been given promotion to the post of Head Constable with effect from 23.12.2002 and https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

subsequently was also further promoted as Sub Inspector of Police on 01.01.2012 and further submitted that nothing survives in this Writ Petition.

3. Recording the joint submission made by learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the respondent that the prayer sought for in the writ petition has been granted, the Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. No order as to costs.
