T.V.THAMILSELVI, J., The petitioner, who apprehend arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offences punishable under Sections 4(1) (g), 4(1)(a), 4(1-A) ii of TNP Act in Crime No.463 of 2024, on the file of the respondent police, seek anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that on 26.06.2024, the respondent police while on patrol surveillance at Vaniyambadi Taluk, Velathingamanibenda Village, the respondent police found illegal possession of 34 liters of I.D. Arrack from the accused. Hence the complaint.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution and he has been falsely implicated in this case. The petitioner is a law abiding citizen and ready to furnish substantial sureties for his release and ready to abide by any condition that may be imposed by this Hon'ble Court. Hence, he prays to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent raised objection stating that the respondent police found illegal possession of 35 liters of I.D. Arrack from the petitioner/accused. This petitioner have three previous criminal cases. Hence, he raised strong objection to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and also the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) for the respondent and perused the entire materials available on record.

6. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the submissions made by the counsels and on considering the gravity of offence, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

7. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. 01.08.2024 gvn
