O R D E R

The petitioner herein apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Section 194 of BNSS 2023 altered into 108 of BNS, 2023, in Crime No.0142 of 2024 on the file of the respondent Police, seeks anticipatory bail.

The case of the prosecution is based on the complaint given by the front Office Manager of FINIX Residency Pvt Ltd on 09.08.2024 that four persons had committed suicide inside the hotel room and the case in Crime No.0142 of 2024 came to be registered by the respondent police. During the course of investigation, the respondent police had recovered suicide note of the deceased and came to light that the accused Perumal, Manoj and Kalidas have given a false complaint against the deceased and the accused had threatened their family members, due to which, they had come to Puducherry from Dindigul and committed suicide. Hence, the case.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner states that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has been falsely implicated in this case. He would submit that deceased Chandrasekar was dealing in stolen jewels and since the respondent police were taking steps to apprehend him, 2/5

he had gone along with his family to Puducherry and committed suicide. He further submitted that the petitioner is ready to abide by any conditions that may be imposed by this Court. Hence, he prayed for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. The Public Prosecutor (Puducherry) would submit that four persons were found inside the hotel room and they had committed suicide. Suicide note was recovered from the room where the deceased had stated that one Manoj, Perumal, Kalidas and brother of Perumal were responsible for the suicide and they abetted to commit suicide. Hence, he vehemently opposed to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5. Heard the learned counsels on either side and perused the materials available on record.

6. Considering the nature of the crime and the antecedents of the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail.

7. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. 08.09.2025 nvi 3/5
