ORDER

This Criminal Miscellaneous Petition has been filed seeking modification of the condition imposed in paragraph No. 7(b) of the order dated 01.06.2026 passed in Crl.O.P. No. 13701 of 2026, in connection with Crime No. 153 of

2026 on the file of the respondent police. The petitioner seeks modification of the condition directing him to report before the respondent police daily at 10.30 a.m. and 5.30 p.m. for a period of sixty days and thereafter, as and when required for interrogation, and prays that he be permitted to report only once a day, while the remaining conditions imposed for grant of bail remain unaltered.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is carrying on business in the State of Karnataka and, therefore, it is difficult for him to comply with the condition requiring him to report before the respondent police twice a day. He, therefore, prayed that the condition be modified by directing the petitioner to report before the respondent police once a day instead of twice a day.

3. Considering the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioner and having regard to the nature of the offence, this Court is inclined to modify the condition imposed in paragraph No. 7(b) of the order dated 01.06.2026 passed in Crl.O.P. No. 13701 of 2026. Accordingly, the condition that "the petitioner shall report before the respondent police daily at 10.30 a.m. and 5.30 p.m. for a period of sixty days and thereafter, as and when required for interrogation" is modified to the effect that "the petitioner shall report before the respondent police daily at 10.30 a.m. for a period of sixty days and thereafter, as and when required for interrogation."
