ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for issue of writ of mandamus directing the respondents to allot the house to the petitioner as per the order passed by the 1st respondent dated 20.01.2024, within the time frame fixed by this Court. 2.Heard Mr.M.Santhanaraman, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and Mr.G.Venkatesan, learned Standing Counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents.

3.The grievance of the petitioner is that her husband made a representation dated 17.09.2019 to the 1st respondent requesting for allotment of house in his name under the Prime Minister's "Home for all Scheme". Ultimately, the 1st respondent passed an order dated 20.01.2024 and issued a

3/5 direction that the allotment must be made in favour of the petitioner. In spite of the said order, no further steps were taken by the respondent to identify and allot the house to the petitioner. Hence, left with no other alternative, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court. 4.Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and considering the order passed by the 1st respondent dated 20.01.2024, there shall be a direction to the respondents to act upon the same and to allot the house to the petitioner under the Prime Minister's "Home for all Scheme", within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. 5.This writ petition is disposed of with the above directions.
