ORDER
It is the grievance of the petitioner that he should not be precluded from getting promotion on the ground of pendency of a criminal case against him. On the other hand, it is submitted by the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents that in view of pendency of criminal case, the petitioner cannot be granted promotion.
2. It is seen that the respondent department has prepared the 'C' list of Head Constables fit for promotion to https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
the post of Sub-Inspector of Police in the year 2002. Now, almost 14 years have gone-by and therefore, due to long passage of time, in my view, nothing survives for further adjudication in this matter. Hence, on this score, the writ petition stands closed. No Costs.
