COMMON PRAYER: Petitions filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents herein directing the respondents herein to include the petitioners' names in the panel for promotion to the post of B.T Assistant (Tamil) for the years 2010-2011 which was done as per proceedings of 3rd respondent dated 17.3.2010 and promote them to the post of B.T. Assistant (Tamil).
For Petitioners : No Appearance (in all the petitions) For Respondents : Mr.P.Raja, G.A. (Edu) (in all the petitions) COMMON ORDER On 21.06.2018, when the writ petitions were called in the morning at 10.30am, there was no representation for the petitioners and hence, the same were passed over. Again when the cases were called at 10.45am, there was no representation for the petitioners and hence, the same were directed to be posted today i.e., on 26.06.2018 under the caption "for dismissal". Even today, there is no representation for the petitioners either in person or through their learned counsel. 2.However, the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents, on instructions, submitted that the claim of the petitioners to include their names in the panel for promotion to the post of B.T. Assistant (Tamil) for the year 2010-11, has attained finality and hence, nothing survives for adjudication in these matters.
3.In view of the submission so made by the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents, these writ petitions stand dismissed. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are also dismissed.
