ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondents to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 25.05.2026 seeking for extension of license period in respect of shops Nos.1, 2, 4 and 5 of Arulmighu Vellangiri Andavar Thirukoil.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner has made a representation dated 25.05.2026 before the respondents requesting to extend the period of license to run the shops. However, the said representation was not considered, as on date. Hence, this writ petition.

3. Mr.D.Yashwanth Rajan, learned Government's Counsel accepts notice on behalf of the respondents and submitted that the petitioner's representation dated 25.05.2026 will be considered within a period of four weeks.

4. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.

5. Considering the limited relief sought by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, directs the second respondent to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 25.05.2026, after issuing due notice to the petitioner and other aggrieved persons, if any, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four

(4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is made clear that till the representation of the petitioner is disposed of by the second respondent, the possession of the petitioner shall not be disturbed.

6. With the above direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
