The instant writ petition has been filed with a prayer for issuing a Mandamus directing the respondents to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 26.08.2024 for implementing the G.O.No.322 dated 08.12.2004 to next higher grade in their respective scale of pay.
2. It is the contention of the learned counsel for the petitioner that when the petitioner, who had retired from the service on 30.06.2010 as Jeep Driver, made a representation dated 26.08.2024 to the respondents claiming increment, and there was no response for the same. 2/5
3. At this juncture, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would fairly submit that they would consider the petitioner's representation within a reasonable time.
4. Heard the learned counsel for both sides and perused the materials available on record.
5. In view of the above submission, without going into the merits of this Writ Petition, this Court deems it appropriate to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 26.08.2024 and pass orders on its own merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. In the result, this Writ Petition is disposed of with the above observations. No costs.
