By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.
The petitioners claim to be the successors in interest in respect of the landed property admeasuring to an extent of two acres comprised in S.No3/10 situate at Sembedu Village, Arani Taluk, Thiruvallur District and it was purchased by the paternal grandmother of the petitioners vide registered Sale Deed bearing document No.168/1948 dated 18.02.1948 registered on the file of the office of the Sub Registrar, Arani. The petitioners had submitted a joint application dated 24.11.2014 to the 1st respondent praying for change of entry in the UDR Register and though it was forwarded to the 2nd respondent by the office of the 1st respondent, the petitioners are yet to be favoured with any kind of response and hence, the petitioners have come forward to file the present writ petition.

Heard the submissions of the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.P.Sanjay Gandhi, learned Additional Government Pleader who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.
Though the petitioners have prayed for a larger relief, this Court, in the light of the above facts and circumstances and without going into the merits of the same, directs the 2nd respondent to act on the communication of the 1st respondent in Petition No.TT/14/08053 dated 24.11.2014 in accordance with law, after putting on notice, the person/s concerned and pass orders within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioners as well as to the person/s concerned.
The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
