ORDER

This contempt petition has been filed alleging violation of the order dated 21.07.2015 passed in W.P.No.19070 of 2015 whereby, this Court directed the respondent herein who was 4th respondent in the writ petition to pass orders on the revision of pension, in the light of G.O.No.363, Finance (PGC) Department, dated 23.08.2013 basing on the proposal sent by the Superintendent of Police, 3rd respondent in the writ petition within a period 1/4

of four weeks from the date receipt of a copy of the said order. 2.

In response to the notice issued by this Court, the respondent filed counter affidavit contending that, the respondent has already passed an order on the proposal submitted by the Superintendent of Police as early as on 11.03.2024 i.e., even before the disposal of the writ petitioner and no such proposal is pending before the respondent herein. A copy of the said proceedings dated 11.03.2024 is also placed on record. 3.

In the light of the above, this Court does not find any deliberate violation of the order passed by this Court, by the respondent herein warranting continuation of their proceedings Hence, the contempt petition is dismissed. However, the learned counsel for the petitioner contended that the said proceedings dated 11.03.2024 has not given effect to and the pension is in fact, never revised. If that be the case, it is open for the petitioner to approach the Superintendent of Police, who is the 3rd respondent in the writ petition for implementation of the proceedings dated 11.03.2024 by submitting representation. In case, if the petitioner submit any such representation, the 3rd respondent in the writ petition namely, The Superintendent of Police, Nagapattinam District shall immediately take all 2/4

consequential steps and give an effect to the proceedings dated 11.03.2024 passed by the respondent herein.
