Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a WRIT OF MANDAMUS, directing the respondents to settle the amount due under Contribution Pension Scheme vide Contributed Pension Scheme No. 7137698 with interest at 10 percentage Per Annum based on the representation dated 09.02.2021.

ORDER
The petitioner who comes under Contributed Pension Scheme scheme has retired from service on 20.08.2018. The grievance of the petitioner is that the accrued benefits under the Contributed Pension Scheme were not paid to him until the date of filing of this Writ Petition. Hence the petitioner has filed this Writ Petition for seeking interest for the delay involved in the disbursement.
2. Heard, Mr.Krishnasamy Chinnasamy, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.V.P.R.Elamprithi, learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents and perused the materials available on record.

Mr.V.P.R.Elamprithi, learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents submitted that the contributed pension final payment has been paid to the petitioner and authorization has been given for settling the final payment of Contributed Pension Scheme on 24.08.2022. However, no reason has been stated as to why the delay had occurred in causing the issuance of said proceedings. 2/4
4. In the result, this Writ Petition is allowed. The respondents are directed to settle the amount due under Contribution Pension Scheme vide Contributed Pension Scheme No. 7137698 with interest at the rate of 6 % Per Annum by taking into account of the petitioner's representation dated 09.02.2021 within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
